The Pagid RSL 29 series of pads is very well regarded as both a fast road and trackday pad.
Although designed primarily for endurance racing, because of the consistent levels of performance and user friendliness many competitors use this material successfully for sprint and short distance races also. This has been seen in British GT Cup class, winning the Championship for the last 3 years in races averaging 1-2 hours in duration. The RSL 29 has also found favour in the growing track day market due to the level of control, good cold performance, long life and low disc wear.
The non-asbestos ceramic-based compound has a broad operating temperature (up to 700° C) and provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels. Only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level and once up to temperature, it provides excellent initial bite and pedal feel. The RSL 29 provides consistent modulation and release combined with superior fade resistance & wear characteristics. The perfect match for our Uber9s discs, but can also be used on OEM steel discs.
It is important to consider factors other than simply price when comparing brake pads; cheaper pads will likely wear more quickly (thus reducing disc life too) and may not perform consistently to the same level. The initially more costly RSL 29 product can often work out to be cheaper overall when costs are calculated over the entire season.
Please note: Pagid recently renamed the RS 29 as the RSL 29. We may supply either the RS 29 or RSL 29 as we sell through our existing stock however the pads are effectively identical.
